This is a better take of a deviation I submitted long ago. It was a poor quality photo, so now I've made a better one I'm re-submitting it as I couldn't find the way of moving a scrap to the gallery.

By the way, this is gouache painting on cardboard. Reference from Metal Hammer magazine... hope you recognize de guy.

Haha, he is James Hetfield, Metallica's frontman. The texture is one of my fav points of the painting and it's easy to achieve.. just using a quite dry brush on cardboard shows this effect :D maybe you can apply this somewhere ;) glad you liked it, thanks!

Well, the texture is brilliant!!!! :heart:

Er ... me try it? No way! :D lol. I'm a hopeless artist. The only thing that I don't totally suck at is graphics, simple shapes (like vector work) and stuff like that. :D lol. But it's fun to watch other people's art. And thanks for the tips - maybe one day I'll get classes and improve, and then I'll try this texture technique out, and then I'll show you. Seems like a LONG time in the future, though. :D

Keep up the great work! Hope to see some more from you soon!

And, heh, I kinda look like James Hetfield when I do that face, too! :D lol. Bit scary, since I'm a girl.

You should be able to move it via - edit deviation - category & section, but I guess that you've already thought of that. Strange.

Anyway, I love this work. The background works very well with it and the expression is priceless.
